SAD About The Time Change?

Every fall when the time changes it gets darker earlier. I can vividly picture the first day after the time change in my head of this time change. I remember leaving work, looking out to a dark sky. Then, as I drive home, there seems to be an excess of cars on the road. Why are there more cars on the road when I left work at the same time? I am immediately frustrated. For the next hour I drive home in what one would only describe as road rage. However, many people in the medical might consider my actions to be a result of a disorder known as Seasonal Affective Disorder.
Typically, when I left work I was used to seeing sunlight. This light put me in a good mood. The lack of light is quite possibly responsible for altering my mood. In fact, many people during the winter months suffer from SAD. They suffer due to lack of sunlight exposure and do not know how to cope. Often, they will experience depression, irritability, anxiety, and other symptoms.
If you are SAD about the time change, you might want to consider options that will help you to cope instead of taking out your rage on the road. Talk with your doctor about it. Many people suffer from this condition. You are not the only one. It is a very common problem and it can be easily treated.
