Full Spectrum Lights for Sanitization
Most bacteria can only exist under certain conditions, if you change those conditions, the bacteria ceases to not only multiply, but exist all together. Full spectrum lighting has proven very effective in killing most forms of bacteria over 99%. Toothbrushes have been shown to be home to a multitude of bacteria especially travel pack toothbrushes that are packed in a container that gives the wonderful conditions of both moisture and darkness. With the onset of full spectrum lighting for sanitation purposes, a device has been made that encloses the toothbrush and subjects it to light that kills over 99% of the bacteria on the brush.
New technology has also been created in the shape of a light wand, if you are a Star Wars fan, you can think of it as your light saber that strikes down over 99% of the bacteria on the surface you pass the wand or saber over. This high intensity light kills quickly so you won’t be standing for long periods holding a light above a surface to be sanitized. Another benefit to this type of sanitization process is that light can get everywhere so bacteria can’t even hide and multiply in little crevices where your normal cleaning methods might not reach. As time goes on and the technology of light becomes more advanced, the function of removing bacteria will more and more intertwine itself into our lifestyles. Imagine going into a public bathroom where the stalls are completely lit by bacteria killing lights.
