How Are You Going To React?

Our life is compiled of several actions and reactions. And, if you think of your life this way, you might find it interesting. For example, when an action happens, what do you do? You react. Exactly. Every action is followed by a reaction and every reaction is preceded by an action. Some actions are positive, and some are negative. The same holds true for reactions. However, often how we react to something can make all of the difference.
Reacting To The Weather
If you think about this theory, those that suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder are simply reacting to an action – a change in the weather. This change in the weather obviously triggered something that caused their mood to alter. However, if you pause to reflect, there might be a moment in between the action and reaction period where the person has time to pause and reflect. If this is true, they can think about how they want to react.
SAD
Although you cannot change the fact that the sun does not shine during the winter, you can choose to react differently about it. This is a wise choice that will help you better cope with some of your symptoms. Train yourself to think positively amidst the depression and you will find that it will be easier to cope. Although you may still need medical help, reacting properly will definitely aid you along the way.
