I like to use this lamp all evening for reading and crafting. It is small, but it puts out plenty of light. The quality of the light is very clear and it has helped my mood when I use it. The light is easy on the eyes, not so bright, but clear. It makes reading into the evening very pleasant. (Posted on 2/11/10)

I'm a student and from time to time, I meet with my schoolmates in their houses to work on papers and stuff. So I bought the HappyLite Mini; and whenever possible, I bring it because its very small and light.

One afternoon, a couple of my schoolmates and I were writing this really tough paper about economics. Everyone was kind of down, because it's hard to think of something to write; and I felt especially grumpy because I had SAD.

My group was aware of my condition, so I asked them if I could use my therapy lamp. When I turned it on, everyone's jaw literally dropped because of the powerful illumination of this tiny thing. Surprisingly, all of our moods suddenly changed, and a few minutes later, everyone started chipping in ideas for the paper.

My buddies were so impressed with it, all of them later ordered their own lamps! (Posted on 10/3/08)

Well, this lamp is quite similar to the one I've had before. Almost all lamp manufacturers want to make their lamps compact anyway. I'd say though that this is still slightly better than the one I had before because of the quality of its light. When you have SAD, and you're always looking for therapy lamps, your eyes can see these small differences that separate one product from another.

This is just a high-quality lamp that I'll recommend to anyone, I think Verilux is a pretty reputable company who has been around longer than most. (Posted on 10/3/08)
