Good except for the 'shelf' Review by kay

I like everything about this lamp and would buy it if it didn't have that shelf as I don't see any purpose for the shelf and it detracts from the otherwise pleasant lines of the lamp. I am looking for a floor lamp similar to this in every other way ... remove the shelf and you have a customer! (Posted on 1/2/11)

I've found this floor lamp to be very useful. The height and direction of the lamp can be easily adjusted. The lamp has two positions. With the full spectrum lamp, I can turn off all the other lights in the room and still be comfortable reading or working on the computer. I did not find the tray use. It overbalances the lamp and the slide off too easily. (Posted on 10/26/10)

My wife absolutely loves the look of this one, though personally, Its not really my thing. I like the ivory color though. I use it for reading in my lounger, and the light makes the type jump off the page a bit better than a standard yellow light.
